What is Filetask, and  what is the 386 extension that wants to modify my system files about? it says dangerous and malicious files and thats its only description
Today i have come home to find a program called filetask on my computer. I've never seen it before. Don't know if its even truly a microsoft program as it claims to be. All the links that "help" you undertstand what it wants you to download take you to the microsoft home page. Thats it. Now It's asking me to download a program because it would like to modify 386 SYSTEM!! files. Frankly any program, from microsoft or not, needs to give a description of why it would like to do this. And it needs to be longer then "dangerous and malicious files". I don't trust it. And my grandmother is telling me to download it, but she doesnt understand that it might not be microsoft. (I also found out our online protection wasn't working correctly so i dont know if it might have come from some malware download) someone tell me what to do here. Ive been the computer person in our family for many years now, and im stumped.

Hi, This program does not come from Microsoft. As you said, you have never seen it before; I suspect it comes from some third-party applications or malware download. If you do not trust it, you can uninstall it if it can be found in Programs. Meanwhile, you can use Malicious Software Removal Tool to check your computer. Hope it helps.
